disable remote access

    If I configure remote access to 0 on my servers, am I right in saying that the only things that would be affected are any linked servers && log shipping jobs.

    No, it means that any connections that aren't local will have no access, which I'd argue is most connections in most environments.

    Not according to MS Docs.

    "This option affects servers that are added by using sp_addserver and sp_addlinkedserver. You should leave remote access enabled (the default) if you use linked servers."
