HI Champs,
Can any body share any info on different types of databases like sql,nosql,newsql,graph databases and there respective vendors ? different data base vendor market share till 2015 ?

Ya right its a huge topic , its just for my knowledge purpose and I wanted to give a seminar on how Data base evolution started and where it is today , today demands in industry and , different types of data bases and vendors . because sql is not only the data base today ..so wanted to explore in detail and to provide an idea to my juniors in the company .

With that in mind, the one piece of advice I would offer is that everyone needs to approach their choice of data storage more carefully. Too many people are either choosing based on a "this will solve everything" mindset, or, a "with this we'll never have to have a DBA ever again" mindset. Both cause severe problems. The database platforms we have available now are amazing. Some of them are very generalist, SQL Server, others are very specific, Hadoop. Get people to pick and choose what they need for the right reasons.
