Differences between Standard and Enterprise

  • We currently just have a production environment for Anaylsis Services that uses Enterprise Edition.  I have a potential QA/Dev environment that I could use, but it is standard.

Would their be any issues with developing/testing in Standard edition and then moving the repository to production which is Enterprise edition?

    Thanks.

  • One, there are features and capabilities you won't have access to in your QA/DEV environment that you would have access to in your production environment.  I would suggest upgrading your QA/DEV environment using the Developer Edition of SQL Server.  It only cost $50/user(developer) and has the same feature/capabilities of the Enterprise Edition.
