We are running SQL 7.0 SP1. How do I determine which version is installed, i.e. Standard vs. Enterprise?
And if Standard, can this be upgraded to Enterprise with the SQL 2000 installation?
Thanks
Jay

If you run select @@version it will tell you what version you're on. For example, here's the results from a development server:
Microsoft SQL Server 7.00 - 7.00.842 (Intel X86)
Mar 2 2000 06:49:37
Copyright (c) 1988-1998 Microsoft Corporation
Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 1, RC 1.1)

I missed the second part of your question...sorry! You can do the upgrade to 2000. Just make sure you backup all the databases before the upgrade. ![]()

select @@version
This will tell you what version you are running with what service pack and what OS. like this
