More of an issue to make sure ducks are in a row. Want to make sure a migration is planned out properly and that takes time.

We wont necessarily wait for SP1 but will have to run it on a dev system for a few months first.

I think Denali will be good to go for the core engine when it's released. Some of the new stuff might need to shake out in a CU/SP, but most of the features should work well. I expect that we will find issues with the configuration and limitations with the Always On stuff.
However there's nothing in SQL 2008R2 even that we need here at SSC to make us upgrade.
