Delete Previous Backups

  SQLMaint has the paramater:

   -DelBkUps to specify the time in days after which the backup files will be deleted in the backup directory.

  Is there any other T-SQL command to do this?

  I'm doing a Differential Backup that creates a new file with the date and time and I don't know how to get rid of these backups for the past week. I'm trying to avoid using the SQLMaint command.

   I use a script in a DTS job to do this. No way I know of in SQL to easily do it.
