What kind of device? Tape or hard drive?
Tape: erase the tape.
Hard Drive: delete the file.

You can't erase only one backup set from the backup device. You can overwrite all the backup sets with a new backup or append all the backups to the existing.
What you should do is execute a new backup and overwrite all the other backups, with the init option of the backup sentence.
