  HAs anyone experienced problem with SQL 2000 SP2 not being able to use any volume except C: to store data files ? We can not find permission problems with D: partition.

  Can't be an SQL or service pack problem. You should check permissions or other setting.

  Did you have difficult to extract SP2 to other directory? If you are, See KB as following.
