How it is implemented? I have installed, tried, it is free for dbs <=30 mb. I have asked their support: MS declared XP's are legacy and do not use them, they will be removed in the future versions. It was written some versions ago. What you will do? But DbDefence support answered: MS wrote but they still used. If they will use NET then it can be disassembled.

I do not know DbDefense in any way, but I do know a bit about XPs.
The support for XPs will not disappear overnight. With the current SQL release cycle if a given version supports XPs when it is first released it will still support then when it gets to end of service.
It will take a new SQL version to remove XP support. This means you will have a lot of notice that XPs will not work after you upgrade. You can use that time to eliminate the use of XPs from your system.
There is nothing in the SQL 2025 documentation to say XPs are not supported, so you are OK to keep using them until at least 2032.
