DBA task automation?Any idea?

    There are a lot of topics about automation. For example, space monitoring, job failure notification, backup failure, reading log for error.

    What else can be automated in your DBA world rather than those routine tasks? Or what do you wish to have if any DBA task can be automated?

    Any task that is repetitive, complex or error prone would probably be a good candidate to automate. It really depends on the complexity of your environment and what you need to do to support the business.

    If you have enough imagination, or work in a highly regulated industry, the list is probably endless.
