Hi,
For one of the RFP solution we are asked to give the DBA Support cost Per unit ( Different pricing for Simple, medium, Complex Categories ) .
Do you know the typical price range for DB / Instance ?
Apart from Clustering,Size what all factors are taken into account to decide on Complexity
Thanks in advance for an immediate reply

To answer your question, no. There is no standard industry wide accepted calculation.
This will be influenced by the rate your company will charge for you as a resource as well.
They need x per hour to cover their operational costs, as well as your salary at the end of the day.
These costs are split up between all your clients, to make up for the above at the end of the day.
Example:
Client A: Pays x1500 per month for 1 Senior DBA
Client B: Pays x2500 per month for 2 Junior DBA's
Then you can price your actual skills to the market accordingly. Also do market research to keep your prices relative to competition.
