DB Mirroring in SQL 2008 R2 - Read only mode?

    I am not sure where i have read but is there a feature on sql 2008 R2 where the secondary database in mirroring be set to read-only mode? Thanks

    no, it is restoring and cannot be accessed. You can create a database snapshot from it, or you can get read only mode from log shipping, but not database mirroring.
