Database mail new error

  • HI,

I have configured the Database mail profile and account in Sql Server 2005 but the mail is not sending and showing the following error message:

Error,235,The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 1 (2007-03-05T15:16:07). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: Sorry that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.).

    ),3000,90,,3/5/2007 3:16:07 PM,sa

but while in the same mail set up in previous instance of sql server 2005 the message was sending very well. After installing new instance of sql server 2005 the problem is arising.

Anybody can tell me that what I can do so that i can send mail using the SMTP databasemail account."

  • Do you McAfee anti-virus installed on the server? It has a rule in it's Access Protection that will block email from being sent unless you put the sending email in the exception list and you don't get a good error message back.

Are you using the same account to send from?
