    Finally success! It turned out to be a missed configuration step: Setting the public profile as "Default". Thanks everyone for your help!

    Hello! what do you mean when you say to set public profile as default? I am having similar issue

    You need to set a default profile (public or private). In SQL Management Studio, go to Database Mail, then create your mail profile. Once you have done that go to 'Manage profile security' and assign the profile you created as the default profile to be used (change the "

    no" to "Yes").
