The error that your reported - 1117 - indicates an issue with the I/O subsystem. If that issue has not been corrected it can and will occur again. One of the articles I linked to showed how a misconfiguration in VMWare could cause this issue...there can be other reasons for the error.
The error clearly indicates an issue with the I/O device and needs to be identified - and corrected.
