Data type conversion error Money-> text in excel destination

    I tried to format the columns in template itself but when I look at the data in that excel show advanced editor /input output properties, its still taking them as string and I don't know about VBA.

    This is the strangest problem I've seen with SSIS so far. Like you, I've formatted the column that is to hold the currency data and the source data is Money data type but yet as soon as the data is transferred, the Excel file converts from currency to string. I'm stumped.

    Does your output into Excel look like '35.33? That's the way it's flowing for me.
