Hello,
I developed a client based application and used SQL Server 2008 as the data base. I have to instal this application in different PCs. This means that the database will independent in each PC. The point is:
Do I have to by a data Base License for each of the PCs so the application could run or the application by it self (in the executable) makes or keeps an internal copy of the data base for each application use?
Can someone explain to me how does this works?

It depends. Do you have the option of one central SQL Server that all the PCs connect to? If not, what is the max size you anticipate the SQL Server databases getting up to?

No, I don't have the option of one central SQL Server that all the PCs could connect to. The size is not a major problem. It is juts for taking track of exams and students califications of schools and a few other things that teachers do.
