Cube Perspectives by Date??

  Can cube perspectives be used to filter out date ranges (before this date and after that date) - I dont think that is the purpose of perspectives, but a customer is asking... so I thought i would throw it out here.

  Perspectives are used to define which Measures and Dimensions are visible to help the end user connecting to the cube have a subset of them.

  As far as I know, there is no feature in BIDS that will allow you do what you are asking.
