Critique - The Modern Resume

  • Maybe something in between, like "Building Your [Market Presence/Marketability/Market Profile/Marketable Brand]", suggesting to build your brand will make you a top-tier job candidate. For some reason, the noun "market" is stuck in my head. Between the two choices offered earlier, I think I prefer "Learning to Market Yourself".

Then again, I could be splitting hairs here; the abstract tells the story well. People will probably click through regardless of which one you choose.

  • Gosh... I understand about the title but it still sounds like a class on how to write a resume rather than how to build a resume if you understand the distiction.

Without pre-knowledge of both the author and the subject matter, I have to say that I probably wouldn't even look at the abstract on seeing anything along the lines of "The Modern Resume" unless, of course, I was out of a job.

There's got to be another title for this wonderful session.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
