Creating a Detail Table Based on an Action in Another Table/Matrix within an SSRS Report (NOT a Drill-Through)

  • This might be a strange question, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of an "easy" way to have a matrix or table object populate with data based on an action in another object in the report.

    In other words, I have a matrix which displays the total credits by month. What i'd like to do is have a table object below it populate with the details of those credits when a user clicks on a particular month in the matrix above it. Instead of having a drill-through report, I just want to display the details without having to drill-through. In this case there are many details of each ticket resulting in a lot of columns, so drilling-in via grouping greatly expands the matrix which makes it unruly and ugly.

    I'm not finding an example of this, is there a way to do this?
