  Hi,

  I need a sample oracle database on my machine, but I do not have oracle server installation.

  Are there any tools to create a sample database and connect to it from a java program?

  I need it for testing my java code.

  One cannot test his actual driving skills without actual car as well as one need installed Oracle server to create Oracle database and get it up and running. You can download installation of Oracle database from here. 10g Express Edition is free for development and production as well.
