I have cluster server(dl 580 with 2 Gb ram and 2 cpu 700 Mhz, storage RA 4100) with Windows 2000 Advance Server and Sql server 2000.
After dbcc reindex (my table have 11.000.000 of records), the server is not responding to sql enterprice manager, query analyzer and cluster administrator.
The solution of problem is power off .
Any idea?
thanks.

The users can work.
The administrative task not responding.
I have 40 Gb free on the disk for data, 8 Gb free in the log file and 3 gb free in the disk of tempdb.
The space of database is 6 Gb.
Thank. (my englis is very bad, sorry)
Can you get task manager to display? If so what info can you gleam from this?
Does SQL Server Service Manager respond/work?
Can you determine how much disk space is available on the disks where rebuild of indexes is taking place?

What is the processor utilization and pages/sec? Perhaps it's just a case of the system being very slow due to the reindex. How long are you waiting for the reindex to complete?
