We have two servers (A and B) with the following configuration:
•OS Windows Server 2003 SP2
•SQL Server 2005 9.0.3033; installed with the option Integration Services
•Visual Studio 2008 Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.21022.8 RTM, Microsoft .NET Framework Version 3.5, Installed Edition: Professional.
My objective is to develop and maintain SSIS packages. This is impossible on both servers for the reasons below:
•On A: In the START All Programs, under Microsoft SQL Server 2005 the following shortcut is present: SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio. On click this brings Books Online.
•ON B: In the START All Programs, under Microsoft SQL Server 2005 the following shortcut is present: SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio. On click this brings “Missing shortcut Windows is searching for devenv.exe”. It then offers the VS2008 devenv.exe.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled MSSQL Integration Services, to no avail.
I then reinstalled Visual Studio 2005 SP1.
Now, on both servers, if I want to create a new Integration Services project I get the message “Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Wizards’ or one of its dependencies”.
Could somebody help?
Thanks,
Dan
