Hi there
On Friday, my pc was upgraded from XP to Win 7. Now, when I try to right click on my SQL results > copy with header and then paste in excel......it pastes all the data into 1 column in Excel.
I've tried just doing copy - same results.
I know I can export to csv and then work from there but it's such a long work around for something I'm sure is a simple setting I'm missing somewhere. I've tried googling this but with no luck.
My SQL Version: 5.1.6.747
I do not seem to have tools > options > query results
The closest I've been able to get is tools > preferences > output
but that does not provide any useful customisation.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I am a bit confused. The title of your post sounds like you are working with Oracle. Then you talk about what sounds like sql server. Then you say MySQL and give a version that is light years behind what is current in sql server. What DBMS are you working with? If it is not SQL Server you may find better help on a forum dedicated to whatever DBMS you are using.

Hmm ok I see the distinction now. And sadly, yes, my version is ancient but I don't have much say in which version we use at work.
However, for anyone who might read this at a later stage, I changed my keyboard language from US International to US (for a completely different reason), rebooted and presto, I managed to copy properly again...
