Connection failed, check sql server registration properties

    ERROR MSG: "connection failed check sql server registration"

    USING: sql server enterprise manager

    TAB: sql server group

    (local) (windows nt) - 7 folders - (All OK)

    TAB: SERVER\MICROSOFT##SSEE (windows nt)

    (Connection failed, check sql server registration properties.)

    What does this mean?

    right click on server registration and choose 'edit sql server registration properties'. check connection properties are correct.

    I note you have placed this post on 2005 forum but enterprise manager is SQL 2000. If you are trying to register sql2005 instance using enterprise manager you cannot do that, use sql server management studio (the 2005 client tool)
