Configuring SQL 2000 XML on a 2-tier network

  I recently installed sql 2000 on a web server and hooked up the xml query support. It ran just as I had hoped. However, I have been unable to make it work on a 2-tier network. I ran the configuration utility, on my database server and set up the virtual directory on my web server. But I'm not sure how to set up the ISAPI Dll. Should the ISAPI live on the web server? Or should it live on the DB server? I tried both, I tried putting the ISAPI dll on my web server and telling the config program on the database server where it was living, but this didn't work. I think I'm missing something simple, but I dont' know what it is. Any ideas?
