Hi,
I am going to transfer my previous server to my new server, and here is information:
previous server has Windows 2008 r2, MS sql server 2008 r2
New server has windows 2012 r2, MS sql server 2008 r2
When I was installing sql server on my new server, first I got incompatibility message, but it was successfully done.
" This program has compatibility issue
Microsoft SQL Server (2008 and 2008r2)
Run this program without getting help "
Also, I was able to restore all my databases , and system databases successfully, but I am wonder will I have any problem on the future, because it is going to be a production server.
Is this massage important? Does sql server 2008 r2 has any compatibility issue with windows server 2012 r2?
Thank you for you help in advance!

No, it should work on 2012. It would have been a good idea to get the entire message and everything that it said is incompatible. But according to Microsoft, it's supported. And here.
