Hello,
Working on a project where there are tables that have Japanese characters using Japanese collation.
Data is being migrated over from these tables and consolidated into a table with Latin collation where the Japanese characters (Kanji) are being turned into ???? marks.
My knowledge leads me to believe you would need to migrate to a table of the same collation in order to have the characters to render properly and if looking to consolidate data of different collations then joining the tables would be another achieve the same result.
Began to research but wanted to make sure my thought process is along the lines.
Any thoughts?
