I know this thread is over a year old and maybe I can't get an answer... but I'm desperate! I'm having this same type of issue but cannot find any solution. I've checked permissions on the folders. They are set right. In fact, the process's default mode is non-interactive and doesn't require user input. The process actually runs and finishes (there is a tool to monitor it), HOWEVER, when run by the SQL Agent it never gets that return response. My whole process runs very succesfully on a Windows 2008 server with SQL Server 2008r2.
This problem is only occurring for me on a Windows 2012 server with SQL Server 2014. I tried it converting the SSIS package to 2014, and not converting the package to 2014. I tried it running the command step alone in a separate job outside of the SSIS package. I have tried everything.
I'm at a complete loss.....
The program I'm trying to run is called retsconnectorrunner.exe, in case anyone has ever heard of this. The creator has nothing in their help files.
