Clustered Instances

  • Thanks for the great question and if one assumed or missed to note on the words 'clustered node' then would have likely flopped submitting the answer for the non-clustered node. 🙂

  • Actually, it depends on the storage type during install. If using shared drives, it's 25 instances and if using SMB fileshares, it's 50 instances.

    Using SMB fileshares is an edgecase though, so I went with 25.
