In an ideal world this is what we would usually do, however this incident was given a low priority. Will know to check the cluster log next time though, thanks.
Can you see anything interesting on the application log I posted? Goggled around but can’t find much.

have you checked the stack dump files to see whats in there
D:\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\SQLDump03xx.txt

there should also be a .log file too with the same name, whats in there?
