We have a test server that contains SQL Server 2014. When I'm RDP'd into the box I can access the Integration Services on that box. When I try to add Integration Services from my desktop SQL Server 2008 R2 I get an error that states:
Connecting to the Integration Services service on the computer "appdev2014" failed with the following error: "Class not registered".
Any help/direction would be appreciated. Thanks.:(

What do you mean by this, please? What is being 'added' to what?

Sorry for the non-clarification. I've got SQL Server Management Studio version 2008 R2 loaded on my laptop.
When I try to "ADD" in my object explorer Integration Services for APPDEV2014 after I've loaded the Database Engine APPDEV2014 I get the error I typed above.
Hope that is more clear. Thanks.

Apologies for my lack of understanding. Do you mean when you try to Connect? I cannot seem to find any 'ADD' function in my version of SSMS.

Yes when I click the CONNECT button in my Connect to Server dialog box.
Thanks.

Yes when I click the CONNECT button in my Connect to Server dialog box.Thanks.
Then I guess that there is some sort of version issue (accessing SSIS 2014 from SSMS 2008).
Can you install SSMS 2014 locally and try from that to confirm?

Thanks Phil for your time. I will try that at my earliest opportunity. Unfortunately I'm working on another issue now and won't get back to this until later in the week.
