Hi all - I just wanted to be sure other people see this issue when wanting to add a new database to an existing transaction log backup maintenance plan, that when you choose the drop down menu it clears all the checks from the list of databases you had previously selected, and you have to check them all again.
This is happening on two seperate instances.
Thanks

No, Mine were still checked. Are you up to date with service packs ?

I created a new Maint Plan when I tried it just now. Perhaps there's a quirk in your existing plan if it was created on an earlier SP ? (wild guess)

There were known issues in SP2 with the Check Database Integrity task and the Execute SQL Task losing database context. I believe this was also seen on the backup tasks.
Verify that you are on at least 9.0.3054 or later and also verify that your client tools have been upgraded. I have seen this kind of issue when trying to use RTM/SP1 tools against an SP2 system.

Ok right thats interesting.
I have checked and our instance is 9.00.3077.00 and the client tools is 9.00.3042.00. I think both of these are SP2 but with some additional fixes for 3077?
I wonder if thats causing the problem.
Also is there a link to a website that tells me eactly what versions each number is?
Thanks
