Hi. We had an external company build our SSIS packages when we implemented our CRM application. The packages are encrypted with the "Encrypt All data with password". We would like to change the encryption to be Encrypt Sensitive with password. I am running into errors when changing the ProtectionLevel. Attached are the errors I am receiving.
Below are the steps I have taken to change the Protection Level in the project and package properties, with no success.
1) Created new project with "Encrypt Sensitive with password" and imported the existing packages
2) Copied the existing project and by default, the Protection Level was "Encrypt Sensitive data with User key".
3) Copied existing project and changed the level to "Do not save sensitive data" both on the Project and packages. Saved and then changed the level to "Encrypt Sensitive with data password"
I am looking for guidance on how to modify our existing SSIS packages ProtectionLevel.
