After developing a report in SSRS 2005, when I export it to CSV, the resultant file appears to be in Unicode format. I have tried editing C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\RSReportDesigner.config as follows:

And add:
I then save the config file and reboot. But it doesn't seem to change anything. I'm judging primarily by the message Excel gives after I make a change to the next exported file and then click Save, namely, "filename.csv may contain features that are not compatible with Unicode Text. Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?"
A coworker suggested that there might be another config file overriding this one, but I haven't been able to find anything yet.
