Change cluster instance name/ip/discs

    Hi,

    How can I change the name, IP address and the SAN discs used, for a

    cluster instance?

    I have not done this before and I can not find much information about this.

    I don't think you can change the name, but I do think you can change the IP addr. the disks are a bit more tricky, you have to add them to the resource group and then move anything you want there and then remove the other disks (if that is your goal)..

    Yes you can change both the IP address and Name - for both you take the instance offline and change the properties in the cluster administrator. For the SAN change you can ask your vendor to migrate the data for you (which can be done 'behind the scenes' over a few days) or add a new drive and then detach/attach the databases to the new drive
