Case statement executing a stored procedure

  Is this possible, I am trying to execute a stored procedure depending on what parameter is selected, something like this????

  Case

  when field = 'value' then execute sp_procedure else execute sp_procedure_2 end

  Not using a case expression. Remember that the case expression is used to define what value is returned in a statement. It cannot control logic flow which is what you are talking about here. Effectively you are trying to have the results of a stored procedure as a single value in a row. This doesn't make any sense from a logical point of view.

  The following is one way this would work but from your short snippet I am not sure this is what you are after.

  If @Field = 'value'

  exec stored_proc1

  else

  exec stored_proc2
