I am trying to setup Replication between 2 servers QA1 and QA2. When I try to establish QA1 as the Distributor (using the Configure Publishing and Distribution Wizard), I get the following message:
"SQL Server Agent on "QA1" currently uses the system account, which causes replication between servers to fail. In the following dialog box, specify another account for the Service startup account."
When the "following dialog box" opened, I changed the login to the "sa" account, with the correct password, but got the following message:
"The SQL Server start-up account could not be verified. Are you sure you want to use it?"
Has anyone seen this before? How can I get around this problem and ensure that Replication will work between the two servers?
Thanks in advance,
Al

I found the solution on my own...

I didn't know that installing SQL Server from an image would cause problems. I didn't specify this in my post because I didn't think it was an issue.
