When we attempt to restore a SQL Server Database from a database BAK we get an MS SQL SQL Management Studio error Message, "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Restore detected an error on the page (22862:1096042834) in database "test" as read from the backup set. (microsoft.SqlServer.SMO)
The original database was created in SQL Server 2000. We have tried to restore with SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008. Do you have a fix or workaround for this problem?

Looks like there's a damaged page in the backup. Can you get another copy of the backup?
If not, try a restore with continue after error in 2005 or 2008. It may allow the backup to restore, but the restored db will be damaged
