hello,
encountered this error message running sqlps on one of our servers.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\SQLPS is not a valid Win32 application".
we are using Windows2003 Server R2 SP2 64Bit with SQL 2008 (64 Bit) SP2.

I have just tried running mine locally using the exact same command (copy & paste) in the Run box. It worked successfully so I can only think of three possible issues:
1) Permissions (but surely that would be a different message).
2) Corrupted file.
3) Non-default installation e.g. location (again, surely that would be a different message).
Is it possible for you to do a file comparison with a known, valid SQLPS.exe?

Ouch. Sounds like a corrupt file from the error message. How are you trying to run sqlps? From SSMS? Command-line? Shortcut?
