Cannot load column with mixed data types from Flat File - Is there an IMEX=1 equivalent for flat files?

    I'm trying to load a column that contains Date values and blanks from a Flat File data source. For some reason, the values from this column don't load into my table since this column has a mix of dates and blanks. I know that for handling this issue in EXCEL, setting the Extended Properties: 'IMEX=1' resolves this issue, thus allowing dates and blanks to be loaded. Is there an equivalent fix for Flat Files that can be used to resolve this?

    PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST. I made a mistake here by loading the wrong file. Loading a column with mixed values IS working fine in SSIS for this Flat File.
