Cannot connect to local instance of SQL Server from ASP.NET application on local computer

    1. Go to sql server configuration manager

    2. click on client protocol

    3. Make sure TCP/IP and Named Pipes are enabled.

    4. In the properties of TCP/IP check the TCP Port is 1433
