We have a SQL 2008R2 Standard Edition server with SSAS installed as well. If we have Express Edition client tools installed, will we be able to connect to SSAS, or does that require the Standard Edition client install?
you'll have to install the tools from the standard edition;
the express tools will only let you connect to the database engine.
