hi all,
i am posting this reply to help those who also struggled with this issue i faced, and for those who might struggle and visit this forum for reply.
The answer to the question is :-
No . the wizard can not do this .
But there are 2 workarounds :-
1 > The migration wizard can only migrate more than one number of packages at a time, when it is fed a package which is a collection of packages to be executed i.e . this package contains the related packages clubbed together to be executed as a whole.
2 > You can write a utility to which executes the migration wizard no of times you want it to.:)

Brian Knight also has a product that is advertised to migrate all packages in an instance. http://www.pragmaticworks.com/dtsxchange.htm
I haven't tried it, but I've read the specs and may try the free trial version.
