Can not connect to analysis server

    I am new to Analysis services.

    I installed Analysis service 2000 and applied SP3 on server and clients and trying to connect from My machine, gives me an error

    "Cannot connect to Analysis server on server__. Connection to the server is lost."

    I can connect from other machine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    I installed Same Analysis services on other server and I was able to connect to that server. Are there any registry settings that I need to change to connect with the first one?

    I don't know much about analysis server, but i would check for differences from my machine with the others from where I can connect. Net library, protocolos, drivers version, etc.

    Thanks, racosta.I was more leaning towards registry since this has lot to do with that but I finally found solution.

    It's microsoft bug #12647. Came out last month.

    This KB article describes that. It had to do with file permissions.
