can i setup Log Shipping while database is used ?

    Hello people, subj

    im having heavily loaded database (~100gb) working in domain

    i want to set up a copy of db for report server (outside the domain)

    i have prepared everything (accounts, shared folders) to start log shipping

    the only thing im not sure, do i have to stop application servers working with db,

    or it is possible to setup log shipping while everything is online ?

    you can start logshipping going whilst db is in use.

    all you are actually doing is taking log backups so it will have no affect on the application.
