Building a new Data Connection in .Net 2005 to SQl Server 2000(Windows 2003 Server EE + SP1)

  • ITS URGENT.....PLZ....PLZ.....HELP 

    Hi,

    1.      How to build a "Data Connection" to SQl Server 2000 through SqlClient in .Net 2005, under a system running Windows server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP1 ?

    2.       In Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, http:\\localhost giving error. Error : "Service unavailable". How to solve the error ??

    3.      I have Installed Oracle 8i on Xp+SP2. When i type http:\\localhost the oracle page comes out. How to configure it to its original XP Page??

    Plz send me the reason & solution if anyone can.

    You should post this question on ASP or ASP.NET forums.

    To answer some of your questions:

    3. under C:\Inetpub\wwwroot folder check if any of these exists: index.html, default.html and other default pages/extensions defined in the website properties. This page may have a redirection to your Oracle website. llso your host file can have localhost point to anything, not to 127.0.0.1

    127.0.0.1       localhost

    2. Is it Servie Unavailable or page not Available?

    Check if the website is running, and see andswer to #3 above for other ideas.
