Hello,
Can anyone suggest a book (or site, or tips) on building a datawarehouse? I have an undestanding on the theory, but miss key stags in actually building the thing.
Please help!
Thx

For tips on a real-world implementation of a data warehouse, I would suggest "Data Warehousing Using the Wal-Mart Model" by Paul Westerman (Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, 2001). Although Wal-Mart used Teradata to build their data warehouse, this book shows the planning, implementation and post-implementation phases that were done for the project. This book is especially good if you are working in the retail industry, but its easy to relate the examples to other industries as well.

The best books I have read are by Ralph Kimball. "The Datawarehouse Toolkit" and "The Datawarehouse Lifecycle Tookit". (both are published by Wiley)
I was fortunate enough to be able to take a couple of classes he taught.
