We're ready to put a picture of the desktop for our SQL Server on a milk carton.
It has disappeared. Have tried rebooting, several other ideas gleaned from Microsoft Knowledgebase, to no avail.
Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

You mean all the registration entries have disappeared from Enterprise Manager ? Or something else ?

When you log on, there is a blank screen. No "Start" button, Taskbar, icons, etc.
This is on the server itself.

So ... this isn't a SQL Server problem then ? It's a problem with your server's operating system ?

Is it? I have no idea. I just know I cannot access the server directly. I can use enterprise manager to maintain data, DTS jobs, etc. but I can do nothing on the server itself.
