I wanted to get insight on best practices for building a reporting database that will contain transactional data for the company's specific products. It's not really going to be a relational database and it's not really a data warehouse. Any ideas on how to implement(what are best practices to design and building).
I put this post on Data Warehousing because this design falls under reporting of data then capturing of data.
I had done one before, the database contains all the reports, their source file (flat file), format file, DTS package, database table, report name.....
